At Samrawe, our name is not just a word—it is a calling. In Amharic, Samrawe means Samaritan, reflecting the profound compassion shown in the parable of the Good Samaritan. Just as the Samaritan reached out to a stranger in need, we are driven by the same spirit of love and mercy, extending our hands to 900 orphans in Ethiopia.
These children, like the wounded man on the roadside, are often forgotten, abandoned by circumstance, and left to face unimaginable hardships. But at Samrawe, we see them. We believe that every child, no matter how broken their story, deserves to know that they are loved, cherished, and full of potential. Our mission goes beyond providing basic needs—we are here to restore dignity and create a sense of family for these children.
"Samrawe" is more than just a name—it is our promise to act as modern-day Samaritans. Inspired by the selfless compassion of the Samaritan in Jesus’s parable, we are committed to transforming lives. We provide shelter, food, education, and healthcare, but above all, we offer hope. We show these children that their past does not define them and that they are worthy of a future filled with love and opportunity.
